We did another day trip on Wednesday, July 11. We went over the border again to Vancouver. The misty fog looked really cool.
Downtown Vancouver
Harbour Centre, the tallest office building in Vancouver. It’s 533 ft. tall and has 45 floors.
Hotel Vancouver: it was the first building in Western Canada to surpass 100 m. It’s 363 ft. tall and has 17 floors.

Stanley Park
Our main reason for going to Vancouver was to go to the Vancouver Aquarium. It’s Canada’s largest aquarium and we all really liked it!
We watched a sea lion show
There was a kid’s area where they could see + touch things
We watched a beluga whale show
It was super crowded, so the older 2 kids were a few rows down from us in the Splash Zone, which they didn’t know about.
They got soaked right at the end and were very shocked! Blake cried, but it was a hot day, so they both dried off quickly.
The oldest beluga whale there, Kavna, just died this past Tuesday possibly from cancer at the age of 46. Their typical life span is 25-30 years.

The kids thought it was the most amazing thing that this lady was swimming in the tank! They always ask to see this picture. You can see the shark nearby in the background. She put her hand up to the glass and then the kids put their hand up on the other side of the glass.
Yes turtle, I would be swimming away from the shark, too!
This was the coolest picture I took there
The Lion’s Gate Bridge, which we went across, then turned around and went back across because of where our next destination was.

The Science World, also known as the Golf Ball. Google is great because there are quite a few buildings that I took pictures of that I had no clue what they were!
After the aquarium, we went to La Casa Gelato, which has 218 flavors of gelati! I probably spent about 20 min. trying to decide which 2 flavors I wanted. I ended up with peach raspberry and strawberry daiquiri. We ate outside and both of my flavors were great! I must say that Jared + I both agree the gelati in White Rock was better, though!

The reason why there are a few days between blog posts is that quite a few of my pictures have to be edited. I took a lot of them through the van window, so then there are reflections on the pictures. I didn’t want to wake up my napping kid(s) every time I wanted to take a picture, so then I often didn’t roll down my window. We’re almost at the halfway point, so more to come when I have time!
