Legoland Part 2

It was really neat to see all of the different U.S. cities and landmarks made out of Lego. This was Hollywood New York City The White House and the Washington Monument San Francisco Las Vegas Nasa I couldn't get over the size of the trees! I think this one is Daytona Beach We went and watched the Pirates' Cove Live Water Ski Show, which was pretty cool! I enjoyed their water ski tricks! The kids got to meet the Lego character after the show. :) You can see the "Island In the Sky" off in the distance, which is the first ride we went on that allowed us a view of the park from 150 feet up in the air. Legoland used to be Cypress Gardens and they left a big section of it as just the gardens, so we walked through that area. It was SO beautiful! I had never seen such tall cacti before! This tree...oh my word!! This is a Banyan tree. It is all one tree planted from a single seed in a 5-gallon bucket in 1939! Their Aerial prop roots grow into thick wooden trunks. I can't even tell you how blown away I was!! That God would create such a majestic tree all from one tiny seed....WOW!!!! Kiera took a picture of me by the Banyan tree. I'm usually the one behind the camera, so I wanted some proof that I was there, too! This was the Kid Power Towers. You pull yourself up by the rope and then free fall and repeat. Kiera and Blake were in one and Haley and I were in another. Kiera and Blake were faster than us! It was actually quite an arm work-out! I was also a bit nervous as I don't like rides that go high and then straight down. It wasn't that high and some of the roller coasters I went on were much higher...I guess it was just a mind game for me! We took the kids inside the Imagination Zone at the end of the day, where they had a big room full of video games. We didn't let them play very long but they got a chance to see it and try it out. Next, we took them to a room where they could build their own Lego characters. It was neat to watch their creativity. This was the Double Decker Grand Carousel that we went on at the beginning of the day. I had never been on one that had 2 levels and we got to ride on the top level. It was hard to get them to leave the store at the end! They each got a free Lego magazine as they were leaving, which they tried to read in the dark! We went to the Cracker Barrel for supper and then checked into our next resort at bedtime! I most likely won't be blogging over Christmas with all of the gatherings and having my sister, brother-in-law and niece stay with us, so I wish you all a very merry Christmas and a joy-filled New Year!
